National Navy finds 542 gallons of fuel in Chocó
In two fluvial operations of surveillance, interdiction and security, the National Navy managed to find 542 gallons of illegal fuel in the department de Chocó.
Chocó. Units of the Infantry Battalion No. 16 of the Marine Infantry Brigade N ° 1, of the National Navy, of the Joint Task Force “Titan”, found in two ships that sailed by tributaries of the Atrato River, 542 gallons of gasoline, which were being transported without the required permits and documentation.
With this finding, the National Navy gave a heavy blow to the groups that illegally extract minerals from mining depots in the department; they use this fuel as a precursor. The material found was put into custody of the National Police of Quibdó, in the department of Chocó.
The National Navy will continue to carry out offensive operations and control operations that led to the dismantling of the organizations that commit crimes in the Urabá region, in the department of Chocó.
