In the framework of military operations being carried out by the Joint Task Force Omega in the south-east of the country, in recent hours, troops found and destroyed two illegal structures used for the production of coca base paste.

 

The structures were found by the soldiers of the Caguán Specific Command in the village La Batalla, rural area of ​​La Macarena, in Meta. In the first there were about 240 kilos of coca leaf, 180 kilos of coca leaf processed, 180 gallons of fermented coca, 20 kilos lime, 20 gallons of gasoline, a press and other liquid and solid precursors that are used for the production of this alkaloid.

 

In the second structure of approximately four square meters, troops found 183 kilos of coca leaf, 125 kilos of processed coca leaf, 25 kilos of cement, 25 kilos of lime, sulfuric acid, coca base paste in process, a scale, 55 gallon metal barrels and 20 zinc tiles.
