As part of the commemoration of the 106th anniversary of the Colombian Aerospace Force, the Amazon Air Group and the Recupera Tu Silla Foundation are joining forces with the aim of carrying out a mission that unites sustainability, solidarity and the transformative power of education. The Force deployed its aircraft to transport 70 desks made with recycled ink cartridges and 70 school kits to La Pedrera, Department of Amazonas, San José School, Bartolomé School of Igualada.
These students belong to the Yukuna, Tanimuka, Miraña, Matapí and Cubeos indigenous peoples, communities that, in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, are constantly living their traditions while facing great challenges to access an education in adequate conditions. The desks made by the Foundation are created from materials collected by HP Inc., on the other hand the school kits were donated by The Church Al Lugar de Su Presencia.
Thanks to the air transport and logistical support of the Aerospace Force, it was possible to overcome the complex conditions of access to this area, demonstrating that when institutions, companies and people come together, education can reach even the most remote areas of the country.
Through this work, the Colombian Aerospace Force celebrates with the Amazonian people more than a century of history at the service of the country, reaffirming its commitment to sovereignty, constitutional order and sustainable development, social responsibility and the well-being of future generations.
