In a joint operation with a high sense of social commitment, a team made up of Officers of the Air Combat Command Reserve No. 4, CACOM 4, the Mayor's Office of Villarrica and the Uninavarra de Neiva University Foundation carried out a humanitarian medical assistance activity, aimed at improving the health conditions of the most needy inhabitants of the municipality.
Thanks to the coordination of public and private institutions, more than 200 people received 431 specialized medical assistances in areas such as family medicine, pediatrics, general medicine, gynecology, orthopedics, dentistry, physiotherapy, nutrition and legal advice, in addition, free distribution of medicines and donations was made to the attending families.
The success of the activity, framed in the 106th anniversary of the Colombian Aerospace Force, was possible thanks to the air resources of CACOM 4, which through the use of Huey II helicopters facilitated the transfer of medical and logistical personnel to this difficult-to-access area, with wider coverage and timely and quality care.
This initiative not only led to covering basic vulnerabilities in health, but in the same way strengthened the trust and bonds between communities and institutions that work for their well-being.
With activities like this one, the Colombian Aerospace Force reaffirms its commitment to Colombians in the most remote areas of the country, promoting access to health, equity and progress for vulnerable communities that require priority assistance.
