FAC evacúa civiles heridos por artefacto explosivo improvisado en Norte de Santander

In a humanitarian mission, the Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, in coordination with Colombian National Army, carried out the aeromedical evacuation of two citizens who had been seriously hit after the activation of an improvised explosive device (IED) in a rural area of the municipality of El Tarra, department of Norte de Santander.

The wounded were evacuated by air in a UH-60 Angel helicopter of the FAC, from the military base of the village of Orú to the Thirtieth Brigade of Colombian National Army, BR 30, where they were immediately assisted, for their right to life and receiving timely first aid. Later, they were taken by ambulance to a hospital in the city of Cúcuta, where they received specialized medical assistance.

This action reflects the coordinated and permanent work of the Military Forces, in the Joint Strategic Campaign Plan Ayacucho Plus, oriented to the defense of life, the protection of the inhabitants and the timely assistance of situations that may hit the security and citizen integrity.
