It is presumed that this criminal structure would be responsible for the shipment of illicit substances by semi-submarines to Central America, North America and Europe.
Thanks to the constant and continuous deployment of the Colombian Navy in the Pacific ocean, and within the framework of an operation with the Colombian Aerospace Force, Colombian National Army, the Agency for the Drug Control Administration of the United States Government - DEA and the Attorney General's Office, after two years of intelligence work, it was possible to arrest six alleged members of an international network serving drug trafficking, in the department of Valle del Cauca.
During the simultaneous operation, in the city of Cali and in the Special District of Buenaventura, six individuals were arrested, who were wanted for extradition purposes, by the United States Government, for the alleged crimes of association to commit crimes and trafficking in illicit substances.
It should be mentioned that this international network would apparently have drug trafficking links with GAO-R Carlos Patiño of the FARC dissidents and the Western Bloc Alfonso Cano, with criminal interference in the departments of Cauca, Nariño and Valle del Cauca.
Among those arrested are alias Capi and alias Mauricio, accused of being the main ringleaders of this network, who, in criminal alliance with alias Kevin, the top ringleader of the GAOr Carlos Patiño in Cauca and of the Western Bloc Alfonso Cano in Nariño, were apparently in charge of the construction of semi-submarine type devices and the shipment of narcotics, across the Pacific Ocean, to countries in Central America, North America and Europe.
The arrested were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution process.
