The packages were distributed bellow the seats and the trunk of a pickup truck.
The constant presence of the troops on the main roads and their continuous work in the fight against drug trafficking led the Magdalena Battalion, of the Ninth Brigade, in coordination with the Huila Police Transit and Transport Section, to deal a significant blow to the illegal activities of criminal organizations.
The operation was carried out in the village of Regueros, in the village of Acacos, in the municipality of Pitalito, Huila. Upon noticing the soldiers' operations, the driver of the vehicle quickly abandoned the car, leaving the marijuana shipment behind, in order to evade arrest.
The shipment with a cost in the illicit market of approximately $660 million pesos, and from which 880,000 doses could be obtained, would be destined for the municipalities of southern Huila.
The interception operation not only represents a severe setback for the finances of the residual organized armed group Frente Hernando González Acosta, but in the same way constitutes a shield of protection for the community, especially for children and young people, who are the most vulnerable to face the problem of the consumption of psychoactive substances.
