10 tons of humanitarian aid were transported to Quibdó, department of Chocó

10 toneladas de ayuda humanitaria fueron transportadas hacia Quibdó

Due to the emergency related to the overflow of the Baudó River in the department of Chocó, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the CATAM Military Transport Air Command, sent a C-130 Hercules aircraft to transport 10 tons of humanitarian aid from Bogotá to Quibdó.

 

Thanks to the support of the Minuto de Dios Organization Corporation, 1200 families who were hit by the rising of the Baudó River benefited, who received mattresses, blankets, food kits, toilet and kitchen; elements that were received in the early morning in the CATAM loading area, to be transported to the municipality of Quibdó, where it was received by members of Colombian National Army to later distributed it to the community.

 

The Colombian Aerospace Force, in coordination with public and private institutions and in coordination with the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management- UNGRD, will continue to transport humanitarian aid to benefit the communities most hit by the different natural emergencies that arise in the country.
