On the second day of humanitarian operations to support the inhabitants of Cúcuta, Ocaña and Tibú, in the Department of Norte de Santander, the Colombian Aerospace Force, using a C-130 aircraft, transported 13 tons of humanitarian aid, of the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM) in Bogotá to the Camilo Daza airport in Cúcuta.
The items brought, coming of the National Government institutions, such as the Unit for Victims and the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing (ICBF), were distributed to the organizations, to conduct the distribution to Colombians hit by the law and order situation in this region of the country.
The assistance includes medical kits, toiletries, non-perishable food items, blankets and other supplies, which are previously organized at the Military Air Transport Command, where a hangar, forklifts and highly trained personnel are available to carry out this type of missions with precision and efficiency.
