Seven packages containing the narcotic were being transported on three motorcycles on the road that leads of the village of Gaitania to the village of Jordán, in the south of the department of Tolima.
During checkpoints conducted by the troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 18 Cozeu, of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in the municipality of Planadas, it was possible to arrest an individual with 130 kilos of marijuana.
The man, thanks to information from a human source, was called by the soldiers, stopped the motorcycle on which he was traveling with two other individuals, who started to escape leaving several sacks containing pressed packages with more than 130,000 doses of narcotics, with a commercial price close to 195 million pesos.
The man was put into custody of the authority for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics; his motorcycle was in the same way seized.
According to information, the alkaloid came from the department of Cauca, to be marketed in Planadas, Ataco and Chaparral. This result of the military operation reduces illegal activities in the south of Tolima, thanks to the soldiers of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army.
