14 members of the organized crime group Los Rastrojos were captured

The individuals must answer for various crimes. In the same way weapons and cash were found.

 

Troops of the Second Division of the National Army, through the Fifth Brigade, in coordination with the Dijin in the department of Cesar and the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, captured 14 individuals, apparently members of the organized crime group Los Rastrojos, required through arrest warrants for the crimes of conspiracy to commit an aggravated crime, aggravated kidnapping, forced disappearance and trafficking and illegal carrying of firearms of exclusive use of the Military Forces.

 

The events occurred in the municipalities of Aguachica, Gamarra and Curumaní, south of Cesar, where through search warrants the authorities found these individuals along with three firearms, shotguns and cash.

 

The individuals were put into custody of the judicial authority to answer for the aforementioned crimes.

 

This year there are already 89 captures of individuals belonging to the different  armed structures and common crime that commit crimes in southern Cesar, which has in the same way led to the discovery of 11 firearms, 304 cartridges and the deactivation of an device explosive.

 

Regarding the fight against drug trafficking, 3 laboratories for the production of cocaine hydrochloride have been dismantled, as well as 10 for coca base paste. Troops have destroyed 10 seedbeds with about 226,000 coca plants and more than 9 hectares of illicit plantations in this region of the country have been eradicated.
