This military operation against drug trafficking leads to neutralizing the illicit activities of a structure of the residual organized armed group Segunda Marquetalia, which commits crimes in the Colombian Pacific region.
A strategic operation carried out by soldiers of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats (CONAT), Colombian National Army Aviation, Military Intelligence, the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Navy, the National Police, the Technical Research Corps (CTI) and with the support of the Drug Control Administration (DEA), led to the finding of 2815 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride that would belong to the GAOr Segunda Marquetalia, Alfonso Cano Structure.
This illicit drug was found in a robust laboratory used for the production of cocaine, which was found by soldiers of the Battalion Against Drug Trafficking No. 4 in the village Unidas, municipality of Mosquera, department of Nari帽o.
During the search efforts, the troops, in coordination with the National Police, discovered 924,702 gallons of acetone, 425 kilograms of solid precursors, 335 gallons of diesel, 100 kilograms of cocaine base, 18 microwave ovens, 4 distillation towers, with a capacity for 5000 liters, and a 40-ton hydraulic press.
This military operation contributes to national and hemispheric security and defense, attacking the crime of drug trafficking in the different links of the chain and that disturb public health, thus helping to increase the living conditions, well-being and development of those who inhabit Colombia and other nations of the American continent.
