The School of Specialist Soldiers SL Pedro Pascasio Martínez Rojas closed the year with an emblematic ceremony where 2,882 new specialist soldiers graduated of the Extraordinary Course N.° 81 SLP Salamanca Rodríguez Edinson, who are ready to strengthen the units of Colombian National Army throughout the Colombian territory.
The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Federico Mejía, director of the National Training Center. During the solemn act, the formation of the ceremony evoked the historical battle of Ayacucho, exalting the legacy of courage, discipline and victorious spirit that characterizes the heroes of the homeland.
During two months of demanding and rigorous training, these men were comprehensively prepared in different areas and specialties, strengthening their tactical, military and human resources, in order to fulfill the constitutional mission of providing security and protection to Colombians.
An aspect of special relevance is that 122 of the new specialist soldiers obtained certification as Military Rescuers, becoming highly trained personnel for emergency care, humanitarian support and safeguarding life in military and community operation environments.
In the same way, the effort, discipline and academic excellence of the first positions of the course, the specialist soldiers Córdova Moreno Henry Javier, Furnieles Vásquez Gilmar Yesid, Quiroga Guzmán Brayan Stiven and Téllez Navarrete Sergio Armando, who received special recognition for their outstanding behavior, were in the same way highlighted.
Today, the specialist soldiers of the Extraordinary Course N.° 81 SLP Salamanca Rodríguez Edinson are consolidated as worthy heirs of will, courage and discipline, virtues that shone in the Battle of Ayacucho and that continue to be valid in every man who proudly wears the uniform of Colombia.
Through this graduation, Colombian National Army reaffirms its commitment to the homeland, preparing disciplined men with a deep vocation of service, ready to continue building security, stability and trust for all Colombians.
