3 alleged members of the residual GAO Jaime Martínez brought to justice

Sometidos a la justicia 3 presuntos integrantes del GAO residual ‘Jaime Martínez’

The individuals handed over to the authorities, different weapons, communications equipment and material of military accessories.

 

 With information from Naval Intelligence and within the framework of a river operation, Colombian Navy troops found three individuals in Valle del Cauca, alleged members of the Jaime Martínez Residual Organized Armed Group, who expressed their will to surrender to justice; they brought a large amount of weaponry.

 

At the mouth of the Raposo River, in a rural area of the Buenaventura District, the troops of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.2, which received the three men, following the protocols established by the National Government, through the Humanitarian Assistance Group to the Demobilized, for the process of reintegration into civil society.

 

The three individuals, including an alleged ringleader, surrendered to the Colombian navy men different types of weapons such as: a machinegun, two rifles of different calibers, three pistols, a tatuco type grenade launcher, four improvised rocket launchers, 21 improvised explosive devices, 18 magazines of different calibers, 1,393 war cartridges of different calibers, a fiberglass boat, an outboard motor, a communications radio and military accessory material.
