These humanitarian aid will continue to be carried out focused on the most vulnerable communities of the department.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, soldiers of the Tenth Brigade of Colombian National Army, within the framework of a joint and inter-institutional operation with the Aerospace Force and the San José Hospital, carried out a humanitarian mission to rescue four children of the Kajashiwou indigenous people in a serious state of malnutrition, in the village of Nazareth, municipality of Uribia, Department of La Guajira.
Thanks to the deployment of the General Gustavo Matamoros DCosta Medium Armored Cavalry Group and the use of Aerospace Force helicopters, the children, along with their parents, were immediately taken to the San José Hospital in Maicao, where they receive the necessary medical assistance to stabilize their health condition.
