Military Engineers of the National Army will present 14,523 square meters of roads to the inhabitants of Mocoa, in the department of Putumayo.
With the aim of continuing to contribute to the social and economic development of the municipality of Mocoa, Putumayo, after the tragedy that hit its inhabitants in 2017 and thanks to an agreement established with the Mayor's Office, the Bicentenary Heroes of the Construction Engineers Battalion No. 53 of the National Army, presented 14,523 square meters of roads that benefit the more than 45 thousand inhabitants of the municipality.
These works comprise the rigid concrete paving of urban roads that received the greatest impact by the avalanche that left more than 1,000 people hit. In the same way, they will lead the inhabitants of the Olympic neighborhoods, Pablo VI, Bella Vista, Obrero II, Jos茅 Homero, Villa Diana, La Loma, Villa Caimar贸n and Venecia to reactivate their economy and thereby improve their quality of life.
In this way, the work done by more than 500 men of engineers, who gave their best to successfully complete and bring hope to the inhabitants, will finally be put into service, thereby generating social development for this region of Colombia, which suffered invaluable losses that will never be forgotten by the country.
