48 tons of narcotics have been found by Colombian National Army

48 toneladas de estupefacientes han sido incautadas por el Ejército Nacional

In 2024, the problem of drug trafficking has received resounding blows, which disturbs the illicit activities of armed groups by more than 112,000 million pesos.

Within the framework of the Campaign Plan of the Ayacucho military operation, National Army troops conducted in the different departments of the country have found 48 tons of narcotics, divided into 30 of marijuana, 10 of cocaine hydrochloride and 8 of coca base paste, which has prevented the commercialization of 25 million doses in America, Europe and Asia.

In the same way, 244 laboratories for the production of illicit substances and more than 880,000 coca bushes in seedbed were found by troops. The blows dealt to illegal groups would have an approximate cost of 112,000 million pesos, which influences the weakening of their financial capacity to carry out operations that endanger the life and good physical condition of civilians.
