A humanitarian medical assistance activity carried out in the municipality of Flandes, resulted in 495 health care, thanks to the inter-institutional work of the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Air Combat Command No. 4, in coordination with the local Mayor's Office, the CardioClinic Foundation, the Navarra University Foundation and the Minuto de Dios Corporation.
During the activity, people received services in general medicine, family medicine, nursing, speech therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, vaccination, gynecology, dentistry, nutrition, veterinary and legal consulting, which led to work to providing comprehensive support to families in the region.
In addition, the supply of medicines and the distribution of 300 kilograms of clothing in donation were conducted, aimed at supporting the inhabitants in vulnerable conditions.
The Commander of CACOM 4, Colonel Daniel Ricardo Zaque, highlighted that this type of initiatives reflect the commitment to the well-being of Colombians and consolidation of activity in the territories, not only the air power, but in the same way through social operations that strengthen the confidence of the inhabitants.
With activities like this, the Air Institution promotes the union of resources between public and private institutions to contribute to the social development and security of Colombians in the department of Tolima.
