Thanks to the management of the Colombian Air Force and the Professional Officers of the Reserve, in the municipality of Gaitania, in Planadas municipality, in the department of Tolima, it was possible to benefit 53 low-income families with food baskets containing basic products of the family basket and cleaning kits.
This aid was distributed with the support of the National Army and the Police, who have worked tirelessly with these communities, reaching the most vulnerable sectors, ensuring their well-being and safety, and strictly enforcing the measures adopted by each municipality or department and by the national government, in order to prevent the spread of this pandemic, which notably hits all social sectors.
The aid was requested by one of the community representatives, who previously identified the most vulnerable families, those who have not received any type of aid yet, especially single mothers and elderly people in vulnerable conditions.
In just one effort, the Security forces toured every street and neighborhood in the municipality and personally took aid to each family, leaving a message of solidarity and reminding the importance of staying at home taking care of their loved ones.
The inhabitants of Gaitania appreciated this noble gesture made for the benefit of the neediest families.
For its part, the Colombian Air Force will continue to join forces and work hand in hand with the other Military Forces, the National Police, municipal and departmental institutions in favor of the inhabitants.
