Thanks to the strategic closures carried out in key points of the department of Huila, troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 26 of the Ninth Brigade and the Light Cavalry Group No. 6, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Police, found an important shipment of marijuana, whose value is estimated at approximately 365 million pesos.
The operation took place in the Mercedes village, in the municipality of Paicol, Huila, and was executed within the framework of the Padlock Plan, which led to the blocking of escape routes.
Upon noticing the activity of the Military Forces, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Several packages counting 730 kilos were found by troops hidden in the body of the truck.
