Aerospace Force missions make the most wanted visible in the region of Puerto Salgar, department of Cundinamarca

Misiones de la Fuerza Aeroespacial ponen en la mira a los más buscados

With messages that invite to break the silence against crime, the Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, carried out during the month of July, aerial loudspeaker missions and launched about 1,000 brochures from a HUEY-II helicopter in the department of Norte de Santander, carrying key information to strengthen security and protect communities.

The missions led from Air Combat Command No.1, in Puerto Salgar, department of Cundinamarca, spread messages against extortion, forced recruitment, illicit mining and other crimes that harm the tranquility of the inhabitants and the environment. In addition, during the tours, critical points, access roads and strategic sectors were verified to support security actions in this area of the country.

As part of the campaign, brochures were launched with information about members of the GAO Clan del Golfo and the most wanted, in department of Norte de Santander, for actions that harm human rights defenders, Peace signatories and their families, including alias Mocho, alias Arbey, alias Gonzalo, known as Satélite, among others. The information reminds citizens that the authorities provide rewards up to 500 million pesos for information that lead to their whereabouts.

Through these operations, the Colombian Air Force reaffirms its commitment to the protection of the inhabitants, promoting timely reporting as a fundamental tool to confront crime and contribute to the construction of safer territories.
