In a humanitarian operation, two women belonging to the Serankwa people of the Arhuaco indigenous people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta were evacuated in a Bell-212 helicopter, one of them pregnant. Both were in a delicate state of health and were in the sector of Aracataca, Magdalena.
This mission involved military doctors from the Air Combat Command No. 3, CACOM 3, who since the first moment checked the condition of the patients, permanently monitoring their vital signs during the flight.
The aircraft that carried out this mission took off from Malambo, Atl谩ntico, and safely evacuated to the city of Santa Marta, where the patients were received to be assisted at a higher level medical center.
The Colombian Aerospace Force will continue to work for indigenous communities, deploying its resources to the most remote places in the country to protect and preserve the lives of those who require it.
