More than 20 houses were hit in this municipality of the department of the Archipelago.
Once a sweep was carried out in the area, no injuries or human losses were reported.
The Colombian Navy attends, accompanies and supports the people of Providencia hit due to the transit of a strong gale, the result of a monsoon trough, a meteorological phenomenon that hits this region.
Sailors of Colombia attached to the Specific Command of San Andrés and Providencia paid assistance to the community, whose houses suffered blows from this natural phenomenon, which reached wind gusts exceeding 30 kilometers per hour.
The navy, in coordination with the municipal mayor's office and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, are carrying out debris collection, material transportation and support in the reconstruction of the 20 houses hit in the sectors of Armor Watter, Bottom House, Casa Baja and Southwest Bay.
