In response to a request of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management –UNGRD and in coordination with municipal and departmental authorities, the Colombian Air Force transported seven tons of humanitarian aid from Quibdó to San José del Palmar.
This support benefits families who have been hit by the current rainy season in the country; in addition, the personnel required to provide humanitarian assistance in this sector have in the same way been transported.
An Air Force helicopter is sent to the capital city of Chocó to provide support in a timely manner to the requirements that arise in the face of the serious situation, reaching both urban and rural areas bringing hope to the inhabitants.
