In support of the program of the First Lady of the Nation Ayudar nos Hace Bien (Helping is good for us) and in coordination with the National Unit for Disaster and Risk Management 鈥揢NGRD (in Spanish), municipal and departmental authorities, the Colombian Air Force has completed the transport and distribution of around three and a half tons of humanitarian aid, in the municipalities of Llor贸, Boraud贸 and El Carmen de Atrato.

Kits of hygiene items, blankets, donations of non-perishable food and clothing, were part of the cargo that was carried in a helicopter UH-60 Black Hawk, which was sent to the city of Quibd贸 for several days, attending the requirements which arise due to the emergency caused by heavy rains.

The National Government and the National Center for the Recovery of personnel-CNRP, have given the necessary instructions to prioritize care in this area of the department, meeting basic needs, being guarantors that the inhabitants affected by the rain have adequate conditions to overcome the emergency.
