Taking into account the policies of the National Government regarding the protection of the environment and the conservation of natural resources as a consequence of deforestation that hits the departments of Caquetá and Putumayo, the Air Combat Command No.6 of the Colombian Air Force works steadily to reduce this environmental problem.

Deforestation has a high negative impact on the environment. Among the most worrying is the loss of the habitat of millions of species, climate change and global warming, which is caused by human activity and natural disasters.

To face this problem, the Air Combat Command No.6 carries out missions that help to mitigate deforestation in the southeast of Colombia, making available its aircraft and the knowledge of its troops to provide reconnaissance images in this territory and working together with authorities to counter the different human activities that harm the environment.
