cogfm-fuerza-aerea-colombiana-sobrevuelo-cordoba-15_0.jpg

An overflight was carried out in the Córdoba area in order to show how drug trafficking influences the exploitation and disappearance of forests and rivers in this department.

The Air Combat Command No.3 through overflights of reconnaissance and intelligence aircraft, defends the sovereignty of the nation, in addition to preserving and taking care of the flora, fauna, rivers, lakes, streams, seas and the different ecosystems that the seven departments that are in the area of responsibility, it also conducts a surveillance overflight that was carried out in the areas hit by illegal mining, specifically in the area of Córdoba.

One of the most destructive problems carried out by Organized Armed Groups (GAO) is illegal mining, where unique ecosystems in the world are exploited and disappear in the frame of the extraction of gold and generate resources for the production of illegal substances and their export, that is why the Colombian Air Force works together with the Military Forces to combat this problem, providing images, coordinates, analysis and research to put an end to these illegal acts that generate irreparable damage in the country.

One of the objectives that the Colombian Air Force has had during its 103-year history is to provide the inhabitants and the environment with security, so that children can enjoy and grow up in a place free of drug trafficking, violence and war, taking into account this, we will continue working exhaustively to combat the GAO and put an end to the exploitation of Colombia's natural resources.
