Air Force metal Angel transported newborn baby to save her life

A newborn girl, who was in a delicate state of health due to respiratory failure, was transported from Leticia to Bogot谩 in a medicalized King-350 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force.

The three-day-old minor who was admitted to the San Rafael De Leticia Hospital, was received in the Amazonas Air Group facilities by highly trained personnel of doctors and military nurses, who watched over the well-being of the mother and daughter during a the flight for more than two hours to the capital city of the country, where the baby would receive better care in a third-level health center.

The aeromedical transfer, to save the baby's life, was made possible thanks to the coordinated work with the National Center for Personnel Recovery and the efficiency of the group of military professionals, who strictly followed all biosecurity protocols to prevent contagion with the new coronavirus; they monitored the health of the small patient with high-tech medical equipment.

On the other hand, it is noteworthy that the Colombian Air Force continues to carry out humanitarian medical missions, aeromedical evacuations and the transfer of patients in delicate health due to COVID-19 in the southern region of the country, a region that has been seriously hit by the pandemic.
