The heavy rains in the Department of Meta, put at risk the good physical condition of two citizens trapped in their home, by the rising of the Chichimene and Guayuriba rivers in a rural area of the municipality of San Carlos de Guaroa, a place of difficult access, where a Colombian Air Force helicopter arrived last weekend to rescue them.
The search and rescue mission was conducted on the UH-60 Black Hawk of the Air Combat Command No.2, after receiving the alert issued by the Municipal Fire Department, who could not access the place.
The evacuation took place in the municipality of Patagonia, where the military rescuers descended in search of the people who were inside the house, taking them to the aircraft and proceeding in flight, to the municipality of Surimena, where they were taken care.
