Air Force transports doses of vaccines against Covid-19 to Urabá, Antioquia

In the frame of the National Vaccination Plan, the Colombian Air Force serves with its aircraft and crews to reach the most remote areas of the national territory, transporting more than 230,000 doses of vaccines against Covid-19, during 2021.

This time, in the subregion of Urabá Antioqueño, 5,777 doses of the biological substance were transported to the municipalities of Vigía del Fuerte and Murindó with the aim of achieving herd immunity in the department of Antioquia.

Cases are on the rise in several regions of the country and concern is growing over the lack of Intensive Care Units, which is why the distribution of vaccines in the most remote places is accelerated, carrying the vaccines by air in Black Hawk helicopters of the Air Combat Command No.5.

Thus the Colombian Air Force maintains its commitment to the protection of life, accompanying awareness campaigns of the Government of Antioquia so that adults and children are vaccinated against Covid-19.
