In assistance to face the increase of Covid 19 infections in the region and the expansion of the Hospital General of the Orinoco to provide support for patients with Covid-19, the Colombian Air Force of the Military airlift from Command CATAM, continues working to bring, in a timely manner, medicines and elements to the hospital, which had been hit by the closure of the main access roads to the department of Casanare.

This is the fourth mission, during the month that is carried out with the intention of transporting medicines and vital elements for the recovery of patients who are in the Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital of La Orinoquía.

On this occasion it was possible to transport in a C-208B Caravan aircraft, belonging to the Casanare Air Group, artificial ventilators, which were required by the Regional Hospital of La Orinoquía, because the rate of contagion by COVID-19 has increased in the Department of Casanare, reaching 90 percent of occupancy of ICU beds.
