Given the declaration of state of emergency in the department of Amazonas, the Colombian Air Force in support of the National Government, in a Jupiter -767 plane, carried out nutritional baskets that will benefit the most vulnerable people during the situation because of Covid-19.

The load corresponds to 170 food packages and 73 boxes in support of government authorities, 43 boxes donated by the Risk Management Unit, 522 boxes of the “Helping is good for us” campaign, led by the First Lady of the Nation and 679 of the campaign: “Colombia is with you” chaired by the Ministry of the Interior.

In the same way, in coordination with the Military Air Transport Command (CATAM) in Bogotá, two mechanical ventilators sent by the Pan American Health Organization and the Ministry of National Health, and a machine to process tests to detect the Covid-19, were transported to the Amazons Air Group (GAAMA) as well as three doctors and four nurses who will be part of the first line of battle at the San Rafael Hospital in the city of Leticia.

It is noteworthy that the cargo was dispatched and received by the Colombian Air Force military personnel, following the strict measures implemented by the Institution for the transport of cargo and personnel, preventing the spread of the coronavirus, carrying out complete biosafety protocols.
