In a coordinated work with the Government of Atlantico, the Colombian Air Force carries out monitoring missions in the vulnerable sectors of the department.

After the heavy rains throughout the national territory, and with the premise of protecting the inhabitants of the south of the department of Atlantico, the Air Combat Command No.3 in coordination with the Ministry of Disaster Prevention and Response of the Government, is carrying out monitoring work in sectors vulnerable to flooding.

Through surveillance and reconnaissance platforms of the Colombian Air Force, troops fly over the municipalities hit by the wave caused by rains, especially those that border the El Guájaro dam. This, in order to mitigate the flood risk, and immediately implement preventive measures by the Atlantic Governorate.

The communal leaders joined the work, who, at the Canal del Dique, are carrying out construction work accompanied by of the Secretariat for Disaster Prevention and Assistance.

The Air Combat Command No.3 in coordination with the Government of Atlantico, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management will continue the monitoring and prevention work, in order to mitigate the flood risk and identify critical points where people may be hit.
