In order to strengthen security and encourage citizen participation in the prevention of crimes that affect the tranquility of communities, the Air Combat Command No. 4 carried out a Comprehensive Action mission by launching 3,000 brochures on the municipalities of Ataco and Chaparral, in the department of Tolima.
The operation, within the framework of Operation THEMIS, was carried out on board a helicopter of the Institution, using the mobility, reach and coverage resources of the air power to carry preventive messages to urban and rural inhabitants. During the mission, informative pieces were disseminated aimed at strengthening the reporting campaigns against illicit mining and the prevention of illicit recruitment, inviting citizens to report in a timely manner any activity that puts at risk the safety, the environment or the wellbeing of children and adolescents.
Through these types of missions, Air Combat Command No. 4 reaffirms its commitment to the protection of Colombians, supporting prevention and security strategies through the use of its air resources. In this way, it continues to work in a coordinated way with the authorities and the people to contribute to the construction of safer environments and strengthen citizens' trust in institutions
