In response to the emergency caused by heavy rains in the municipality of Tocaima and its surroundings, the Air Combat Command No. 4 deployed an aircraft to conduct overflights in the damaged area, leading the Fire Department to identify critical points and effectively coordinate response operations.
The intense rains have hit more than 300 families in 15 neighborhoods and 16 villages, with serious impacts on the construction of the municipal aqueduct that, according to the authorities, due to the overflow of the Bogot谩 River, has had damages in part of the pipeline of the adduction network on several occasions. The air assessment has been key to determine the extent of the damage and establish mitigation strategies.
The aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 4 has flown optimizing the response to the emergency, facilitating the planning of rescue and humanitarian assistance efforts, in the same way, the information collected during the overflights is being used by the municipality's Risk Management bureau to coordinate joint operations.
Authorities are calling on the inhabitants to remain attentive to the official indications and follow preventive measures in the face of the continuity of the rains in the region.
