In a joint and coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, the National Police, the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) and the Attorney General's office, it was possible to find and capture Danilo Santos Pantoja, alias "Cristian Grande", who was the main ringleader of the Residual Organized Armed Group “Segunda Marquetalia”, in the city of Popayan.
This capture also contributes to the reduction of: terrorist attacks, homicides against social leaders, extortions to companies and threats against civilians in several municipalities of Cauca.
According to the investigation carried out by the authorities, this individual has had participated in multiple criminal operations since 2016 and was in charge of gathering money from drug trafficking.
