In the same operation, alias Juanchito was captured. Both individuals were accused of being extortionists and microtrafficking dealers, as well as drug traffickers in the European market.
In the course of Operation Pedro Pascasio Martínez against illegal finances, and conducted by troops of the National Army and the National Police, alias Diablo and alias Juanchito were captured. The first individual was in charge of microtrafficking, extortion and killings. He was the right hand of alias Andrés or Quema Rancho, main ringleader of the Organized Gang (GDO) Los Puntilleros Bloque Meta.
The second individual, alias Juanchito, is 35 years old. He was an alleged member of the same Organized Gang, which commit crimes in the departments of Meta, Vichada and Guaviare. He was in charge of coordinating the purchase and transportation of cocaine hydrochloride that came from the department of Guaviare; and marijuana from Cauca.
The capture of alias Diablo is a result against criminal groups and an important contribution to national security, since this individual would be a feared criminal in Villavicencio because he not only frightened traders and ranchers but also was a reference to other criminals. This individual has extensive knowledge about the handling of long and short range firearms, which allows him to attack other criminal groups that commit crimes in Meta, in order to create "imaginary borders".
These individuals will be prosecuted for the crimes of extortion, drug trafficking, forced displacement, association to commit crimes, homicide, traffic, carrying and/or manufacture of narcotic drugs and trafficking and/or illicit carrying of firearms.
Alias Diablo and alias Juanchito committed crimes in the municipalities of Las Brisas, La Reliquía, Santafe and in the border areas of the municipality of Villavicencio, Meta. According to military intelligence, in 2020, with the death of alias Soldado, alias Diablo became as the main ringleader to control the distribution of narcotics to Europe.
With this important result it was possible to deal a heavy blow to the criminal gang by weakening its incomes from drug trafficking, extortion and killings.
