Within the framework of the military and police campaign Aquiles, a joint and coordinated operation was carried out on the weekend, which allowed to neutralize Esneider Jiménez Gómez, alias Tilico, urban ringleader of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) Los Caparros, in the municipality of Puerto Bélgica, in Cáceres, Antioquia.
This individual had been investigated for the crime of association to commit crimes and homicide. He also carried out and coordinated extortions to traders and executed criminal operations of Los Caparros, which commit crimes in the Bajo Cauca Antioqueño.
Colombian Air Force aircraft participated in this operation together with the Army, Navy, National Police and the Attorney General's Office, to counter the criminal operations of this GAO.
