Troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 17 and of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Colombian Navy, in an operation coordinated with the National Police, arrested alias Wasson, alleged member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo for the alleged crime of association to commit aggravated crimes.
The members of the Military Forces arrived at the village of Palmarito, municipality of Magangué – Bolívar, complying with a judicial order issued by the Municipal Criminal Judge 19 of Barranquilla, to arrest this individual, who was wanted by the authorities for his alleged involvement in the distribution of microtrafficking, the collection of money from extortions and the murder of two police officers in the year 2022 in Barranquilla.
