Alleged member of the Clan del Golfo in Chocó department was presented to justice

Thanks to the operation supported by the Colombian Navy and the National Army, it was possible the presented to justice an alleged member of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo in the department of Chocó.

 

In river operations on the Atrato River, in the village of Mesopotamia, in the municipality of Bojayá, department of Chocó, the individual known as alias Andrés or Kevin, who was in charge of doing intelligence for criminal purposes and had been in the service of the substructure Pablo José Montalvo Cuitiva for a year, told the military his intention to withdraw of the organization outlaw.

 

During the operation, the individual gave a pistol, two magazines and 27 9-millimeter caliber cartridges, as well as communications material.

 

The Naval Institution informed the Attorney General's Office, the Ombudsman's Office and the Humanitarian Assistance Group for the Demobilized, in order to carry out the relevant judicial coordination and initiate his return to legality. In the same way, the material was put into custody of the authorities.
