As part of a coordinated operation by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, in compliance with the Joint Strategic Campaign Plan Ayacucho, an alleged member of the Organized Gang La Local was arrested in the Special District of Buenaventura.
Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Buenaventura of the Colombian Navy and personnel of the National Police, arrested in flagrante delicto alias Peluquero or Marvel for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, in locality 4 of the Special District.
The arrested man had a .38 caliber revolver and five cartridges of the same caliber, which he allegedly used to act criminally as an alleged member of the Los Espartanos a group of the Organized Gang La Local, where he would have a criminal experience of approximately eight years.
The arrested man was put into custody of the URI Prosecutor's Office of Buenaventura, for his prosecution.
