An Angel helicopter of the Colombian Air Force arrived in the municipality of El Conguital, municipality of Ituango, to carry out the humanitarian aeromedical evacuation of an alleged member of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, who was wounded during military operations.

The patient had gunshot wounds; it is presumed that he belongs to the residual Organized Armed Group Structure-18. Due to the complexity of the geography and terrain, it was necessary to use a rescue crane to save the life of the 24-year-old individual under International Humanitarian Law.

In the area he received first aid of the National Army. Air Force Combat nurses of the aircraft monitored his vital signs in order to give him in stable conditions to the medical personnel waiting for him in the Pedro Justo Berrio Battalion of Medell铆n, for his subsequent transfer to a hospital.

The Colombian Air Force advocates the right to life and conducts its operations in the national territory in accordance with the guidelines of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
