In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, nine alleged members of the Renacer ERPAC were arrested in search procedures in the municipality of Puerto L贸pez, department of Meta, accused of generating the forced displacement of farm owners in the municipalities of Puerto L贸pez and Puerto Gait谩n.
Those arrested are accused of crimes such as association to commit aggravated crimes for the purpose of forced displacement. Two of the detainees would have participated in the public administration, which facilitated the procedures to legalize properties that would have been given as possession of this gang for the routes for narcotics trafficking in this region of the department.
Among the investigations it was possible to determine that this group Renacer ERPAC, would be dynamizing activities such as microtrafficking, the control of drug trafficking routes and selective homicides in the municipalities of Villavicencio, Puerto L贸pez and Puerto Gait谩n, Meta.
The detainees were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office and, subsequently, presented to a judge.
