It is estimated that the price of the drug amounts to 130 million pesos in the Colombian illegal market.
Troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 5, attached to the Eighth Brigade, in coordination with the Transit and Transport Section of the Quindío Police, found 91 kilograms of marijuana that were being transported in a private vehicle on the Valle del Cauca-Ibagué-Bogotá route, near the municipality of Calarcá, department of Quindío.
During the search carried out at a checkpoint on the La Linea road, the soldiers found 29 packages hidden inside the car with the illicit substance.
Apparently, the drug would belong to organized criminal groups specialized in drug trafficking and would be destined for microtrafficking in the city of Ibagué, department of Tolima.
