This material belonged to the organized armed group Structura Marco Aurelio Buendía, of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc.
Continuing with the operations framed in the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan and through a joint work conducted by soldiers of the Omega Task Force and navy units of the National Navy, it was possible to find an illegal hiding place with explosives and military accessories in the village of Caño La Torre, of the municipality of Puerto Rico, Meta.
After the review by the trained dog, this material was found buried and, following the established review protocols, with a depth metal detector, the explosives and a campaign equipment that were covered with black plastics, were found by troops.
After the finding, explosives, detonators and explosive ordnance were put into custody of a team of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 11 carried out the neutralization in controlled conditions of 5 improvised manufactured munitions with characteristics similar to 60 mm large ones, 5 improvised explosive devices with timed activation method and 2 launching means to be used with characteristics similar to a 60 mm mortar.
With the destruction of this material, it was possible to prevent damage to the inhabitants, the Military Forces and state property.
