Within the framework of joint and coordinated operations against the criminal organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean and Bajo Cauca, in the department of Antioquia, units of the Colombian Navy, troops of Colombian National Army and members of the Military Forces of the National Police, reported the finding of an illegal hiding place with elements for the production and dosage of narcotics, as well as the arrest in flagrante delicto of three alleged members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The first result was reported in a rural area of the municipality of Achí, department of Bolívar, where it was an illegal hiding place allegedly belonging to the Erlin Pino Duarte substructure of this criminal organization. More than seven kilograms of marijuana, five kilograms of coca paste base and three kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops at the site, along with supplies and equipment used for the dosing and distribution of illicit substances, including dosing bags, gram containers, blenders and other elements used for the production of the narcotic. The elements were put into custody of the authorities for the respective judicial process.
At the same time, in the Bajo Cauca region of Antioquia, it was possible to arrest in flagrante three individuals known by the aliases Moreno, Chucky and El Enano, alleged members of the Uldar Cardona Rueda substructure of the, GAO, Clan del Golfo, who would be in charge of carrying out extortion of money and selective homicides against the inhabitants and members of the Military Forces in this region of the country.
During the operation, which was conducted by troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.17, two handgun-type firearms, two magazines, more than 90 units of nine-millimeter caliber ammunition, three mobile phones, and documentary elements related to extortion and instructional money collection searches made by the criminal organization were found by troops. The arrested and the elements were put into custody of the judicial authority.
