Through this military operation, the marketing and distribution of approximately 280,000 doses of cocaine hydrochloride stopped.
Soldiers of the Mechanized Cavalry Group No. 4 Juan del Corral, of the Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in an operation coordinated with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the National Police, and with the support of the Colombian Aerospace Force, it was possible to find and destroy in controlled conditions a laboratory used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride in the village of La Trinidad, of the municipality of Concepción, in the department of Antioquia.
During the military operation, about 93 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 469 gallons of cocaine hydrochloride, 711 gallons of liquid supplies, 320 kilos of solid supplies, 8 microwave ovens, a distillation tower and 5 digital precision scales were found by troops.
Through this important result, it was possible to significantly hit the logistical and financial capacity of the Gener Morales Substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo, which leaves an estimated economic damage of 12,000 million pesos, and thus limits the criminal operations of these illegal armed groups that cause so much damage to the inhabitants.
The military operation was made possible thanks to military intelligence and inter-institutional cooperation, preventing the drug from being distributed in international markets.
