During the procedure of visiting the boat, four crew members were found by troops, three of Honduran nationality and one Venezuelan, transporting 32 bags, apparently with illicit substances, for which the individuals were arrested along the material found. Later, they were taken to a safe port, aboard a unit of the Colombian Navy.
Once on dry land, the Judicial Police carried out the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, determining that it was 811 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, illegal merchandise that would have a cost of more than 27 million dollars on the international illegal market.
The illegal merchandise and the arrested personnel were put into custody of the authority. During the maneuver of towing the suspect boat to a safe port, it capsized due to adverse weather conditions.
