Through surveillance and reconnaissance missions, aircraft of the Air Combat Command No.7 carry out permanent overflights over the departments of Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Nariño, in order to strengthen the security of the inhabitants of this region of the country.
Crews of this military unit maintain these air patrols, verifying the main roads that connect these three departments, as well as the critical points of road and fuel energy facilities, always being alert to situations of disturbance of law and order to prevent terrorist operations that attack the inhabitants or strategic assets of the Nation.
Brochures are in the same way being launched to invite rural communities to report to the authorities any suspicious or criminal acts, in particular the forced recruitment of minors by illegal Organized Armed Groups, and also inform by using the National Government’s helplines.
