Army and Faith in Colombia support planting of 300 trees in the municipality of Los Canelos, south of Bolívar

The National Army with its Program Fe en Colombia, in coordination with the Manuel Elkin Patarroyo Hospital, the Technical Agricultural School Los Canelos and the community, carried out a great reforestation activity.

As part of the My Model Village campaign, 300 lemongrass trees were planted on the farm of the School of the municipality of Los Canelos. This was the result of a joint effort that led to strengthening the bonds of partnership with the inhabitants of this rural area and raising awareness about the need to protect our environment.

Thanks to this coordinated work, it is possible to significantly impact natural resources, generating a collective responsibility for preservation and protection, because these seedlings will act as living fences, serve as habitat for some animals, reduce erosion and help purify oxygen.

In this way, the National Army and its Program Fe en Colombia ratify their commitment as custodians of the environment, joining efforts with institutions and communities, in order to protect the natural resources of this beautiful municipality.
